FC Vax

Description

FC VAX is a water-in-oil-based, stable emulsion inactivated vaccine for protection against Fowl Cholera. The vaccine contains a high concentration of Pasteurella multocida organisms suspended in a stable oil emulsion.

Indication

FC VAX is recommended for the protection of commercial layers and breeders against Fowl Cholera.

Administration And Dosage

• Inject each bird, at the point of lay, with 0.5 ml subcutaneously (in the mid-portion of the neck) or intramuscularly.
• When used at an early age, the dose may be adjusted accordingly.For breeder parents and commercial pullets, the first dose is recommended at 8–10 weeks of age, followed by a booster dose after 4–5 weeks.In endemic areas, breeders and layers may be vaccinated every three months.

Directions For Use

• Allow the contents of the bottle to reach room temperature before use.
• Shake gently for 2 minutes if more than 4 hours have elapsed between the first and last use of the vaccine from any container.
• Use the entire contents after opening the bottle for the first time.

Precautions

• Vaccinate only healthy birds.
• Birds to be vaccinated should not be weak, debilitated, or immunosuppressed.
• Do not market birds if they show swelling at the injection site.
• Market the birds at least three weeks after vaccination.
• Consult your veterinarian for further guidance on vaccination.
• Store in dark between 2°C – 8°C.
• Do not freeze
• Shake gently for 2 minutes before use
