Composition
- Levamisole Hydrochloride BP (Vet): 1 g per bolus
- Oxyclozanide BP (Vet): 1.4 g per bolus
Dosage and administration
- 1 bolus per 150 kg body weight
- The bolus may be broken into halves to administer 75 kg body weight doses
- Nilzan Bolus is scored for ease of halving
- Administered orally using a balling gun or dispensed in water as a drench
Indications
- Nilzan Bolus is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic for routine control of nematode infestations and chronic fascioliasis in cattle.
- Oxyclozanide removes practically all flukes (Fasciola spp) present in the bile ducts.
- Levamisole removes mature and developing immature stages of a wide range of nematodes, effective against:
- Hemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus spp. (In the abomasum)
- Trichostrongylus, Cooperia, Nematodirus, Oestophagostomum, Charbertia, and Bunostomum spp. (In the intestines)
- Dictyocaulus spp., including inhibited larvae of D. viviparus (In the lungs)
