Indications (for Dogs and Cats)
- Alimentary, respiratory, and urogenital tracts
- Skin and secondary wound infections
- Otitis externa
Dosage and Administration
- Dosage: 5 mg/kg body weight
- Frequency: Once daily (or can be divided into two doses given twice daily)
- Duration: 3 to 10 days, with or without food
Directions for Use
Use only as prescribed by the veterinarian.
Precautions
- Dogs: Not recommended for dogs under 1 year of age (for large breeds, under 18 months)
- Cats: Not recommended for cats under 8 weeks of age
Special Considerations
- Safety in breeding and pregnant animals: Has not been established.
- Use with caution: In epileptic animals.
- Drug Interactions: Concurrent use with ciclosporin may reduce metabolism and increase the risk of nephrotoxicity.
- Not for human use: For veterinary treatment only.
